Frequently Asked Questions

Q: What does the 'No obligation consultation' include?
A: Our free, no obligation consultation enables you to explain your requirements fully. Based on this information we will use our skills and experience to recommend the right solution. Following your agreement and your official order we will carry out the work. We are not consultants - we deliver and install the solution rather than just write a report.

Q: What trade bodies do you belong to?
A: We are members of SHEDA, (Storage & Handling Equipment Distributors Association) that promotes the highest technical and service standards among its members. This means that we adhere to SEMA and FEM codes as appropriate as well as the CDM (Construction Design Management) Regulations.

Q: Do you work with specific manufacturers?
A: No, it is not in our or the client's best interests to be too closely aligned with particular manufacturers, we need to be able to look at what is available and be free to recommend and select the correct solution for our client.

Q: What are the lead times for delivery and installation of the systems you supply?
A: Standard applications can be installed in 4 - 6 weeks from receipt of order, but it could be up to 12 weeks or more for more sophisticated installations.

Q: Why should I use Index Procon for my project rather than buying everything from different suppliers?
A: The benefits are the same for large or small organizations - we remove the need to 'do it yourself' in-house and pull people away from your core business. If you want to put up a building you employ a building contractor, a warehouse project is just the same and this is where Index Procon can help. We do these projects every day; with us on board it's a seamless process and there is no painful learning curve.

Q: Do you employ your own installers?
A: We employ a number of regionally based professional subcontract installation teams, with whom we have developed highly successful working relationships over the years. These teams are SEIRS (Storage Equipment Industry Registered) Installers who work to SEMA, FEM and CDM codes of practice.

Q: Do you have a list of your clients and any case studies that I can view?
A: Yes, view our client list in 'About Us' and you can access case studies from the home page.
